About us

We are building the space between sessions.

InSession Health is a therapist-connected platform that helps clients practice, reflect and make progress during the week, while giving clinicians useful visibility into the work their clients choose to share.

Why we exist

Therapy should not stop when the session ends.

Most of what therapy is trying to change happens outside the therapist's office. Yet the tools in between are usually a worksheet, a reminder or nothing at all, and the session often starts with trying to remember what happened.

We think the week deserves better. InSession gives clients structured support between sessions and gives therapists a clear, consented view of progress, so time together can go to the work that matters.

How we work

Our principles.

Therapist-led

We support the clinical relationship. We do not replace it.

Privacy as a feature

Clients decide what is shared, and the default protects them.

Evidence before claims

We test first and only promise what the data supports.

Narrow and useful

Start with what therapists and clients will actually use, then grow.

Leadership

The team.

Portrait of Amir Pirnia
CEO and Founder

Amir Pirnia

Amir has spent more than twenty years building technology and the teams behind it across healthcare, insurance and financial services. Most recently he led technology and product at Care Solace, a mental health care coordination platform serving millions of students and families, where he saw how much of a person's progress depends on what happens outside the therapist's office.

Earlier he built and scaled both the platform and the engineering team in the early years at LegalZoom, helped lead Hixme through its Kleiner Perkins-backed growth and acquisition by SureCo, and served as SVP of Engineering at PennyMac, leading more than 100 engineers. He holds an MBA from Northwestern's Kellogg School of Management and is based in Los Angeles.
